"Don't think twice this is a must in tarrafal. We went 2 different nights and both times food was perfect ! Get the fish of the day and a pizza. Healthy /clean /amazing quality. Affordable. Although, it's where tourist come but it's definitely NOT a tourist trap. Owner is great and friendly. Didn't have any deserts so no comments on that."

"A lot of restaurants in Tarrafal could learn from the quality of service that is being provided here. We were greeted with nice smiles, friendly manners and really enjoyable food, the best in Tarrafal. The owner seems to be Italian, he is also a waiter, a really charming person. Make sure to come early or take a reservation, as there might even be a queue in the entrance to get you seated. Absolute gem! If we come back, we'll surely be visiting."

"Inconspicuous from the outside, but when you walk through the door and see the cozy courtyard, a surprise awaits you! 😍 The owner, a friendly, typically Italian host 🇮🇹, welcomes you with charismatic charm! Very attentive, professional and hospitable service, plus delicious and fresh fish dishes 🦈, stone oven pizza 🍕 and Italian pasta 🍝, remarkably well seasoned and topped. Plus homemade Italian desserts🍧, good wine 🍷 or craft beers🍺! The perfect evening is ready, although not exactly cheap by Cape Verdean standards! We were here again twice! 👍"

"We have been there three times and always very satisfied. Even without a reservation the friendly boss always found us a place, we only had to wait 10 minutes once. I therefore recommend booking because the restaurant is always full and you sit in a very nice courtyard. Pizza, octopus and pasta were excellent, the prices are reasonable, the service was attentive and friendly. Therefore Alto Mira is a clear recommendation from us: one of the best Italian restaurants in Tarrafal."

"You definitely can't leave Tarrafal without having dinner at Alto Mira. The food is delicious, we still remember the pesto pizza, the tuna and the octopus. The place is cozy, the service is great and Francesco is always attentive to everything we needed. I would go back there tomorrow."
